AWARENESS TRAINING
Inappropriate Conduct in the Workplace

  • One-day interactive training

  • Open enrolment

  • In-person attendance in The Hague

  • Small, personal setting

  • Interactive and effective

Why this training?

Inappropriate conduct in the workplace is not a distant issue. Research shows that more than 1 in 6 employees in the Netherlands encounters some form of unwanted behaviour at work. The consequences are severe: absenteeism, staff turnover, reduced productivity and a damaged work culture.

As an organisation, you can make a real difference. Not by looking the other way, but by equipping your employees and managers with the knowledge, awareness and skills to recognise, discuss and prevent unwanted behaviour.

This Awareness Training on Unwanted Behaviour has been specifically developed for organisations that do not treat social safety as a box-ticking exercise, but as a core element of good employment practice. It is a training programme that truly makes an impact, because participants do not just listen—they actively practise, reflect and make shared agreements.

Who is this training for?

This training is suitable for all employees within an organisation from managers to operational staff. By taking part together, participants develop a shared understanding and a collective commitment to a safe and respectful workplace.

Send your employees to this training if you want them to:

• Know how to act when they are personally affected or when they witness such behaviour

• Develop communication skills to address unwanted behaviour in a respectful and assertive way

• Become familiar with the procedures and steps in place within your organisation

• Actively contribute to a culture of respect, openness and equality

Part 2: Understanding Unwanted Behaviour

What do we mean by unwanted behaviour? In this section, we explore the different forms through definitions, practical examples and key warning signs:

  • Intimidation, aggression and violence

  • Bullying and discrimination

  • Sexual harassment

  • Gossiping: when is it harmless and when does it become unwanted?

We then look at the impact and consequences of unwanted behaviour—on the individual employee, the team and the organisation as a whole.
